Made by Beverly Novelty Corp New York, NY c1920s. Has PAT APPLD FOR on the bottom which means this is a very rare early model, the patent was issued on Dec 11 1928 pat # D-77,158. There is one original rectangular window in the front to see the chocolate. The drawer opens automatically when you put in a coin, it works fine! No chocolate though ;>. The coin slot is in the front, lock/key hole to open it up is on the side, coins retrieved through the side as well!! ORIGINAL KEY> Still has almost all of its lithography, 95% intact, most of the loss on the edges, SUPER HARD COLOR TO FIND, THIS IS THE BEST ONE I HAVE FOUND, from my personal collection. Awesome 20’s children playing and doing their thing!! 100% original – no cracks, chips, breaks or damage of any kind other than any stated. 2 3/4” wide X 5 7/8” tall, Listed in the new “The official price guide to Mechanical banks” by Bill Morphy, published Sept. 7 2007!! Page 353 top, it list for $400 with 98% paint!! I suggest to the winner to print a copy of this auction, it will increase the resale value of your purchase tremendously having this information as a hard copy along with the bank. You are paying for this information, make use of it! Plus it’s fun to look back in 20 years and say I only paid $200 for that way back when. Most of the banks today selling for $200-$400 were $15-$50 in the mid 1970’s, big money when the reference guides I have were printed. Will combine, prefer it actually.
