Carlier this original 19th century Spelter Metal Statue depicts a rugged Iron Worker off to work, with his leather apron, and tools. Émile François CARLIER (1827-1879) was a French sculptor and this statue as a French foundry mark on the back. Including the 8 inch diameter base this statue measures 19 ¼ tall and it still retains its original 2-color bronze patina. There is one problem with this statue. Sometime in the early 20th century, it was converted into a lamp, and they put a hole at the top of the head. There are no other problems or any repairs to this 19th century Iron Worker Statue and to make sure that it sells, there is No Reserve.
